Mainly acting in the early stages of the life cycle of coccidia (from spores to first generation schizonts), it can interfere with the normal exchange of sodium and potassium ions within the cells of coccidia, allowing a large amount of sodium ions to enter the cells, causing an increase in sodium ion concentration and osmotic pressure inside the cells. Imbalance of intracellular and extracellular ion concentrations, metabolic disorders, and depletion of cellular energy. In addition, due to an increase in intracellular ions, a large amount of water infiltrates the cells, causing swelling and ultimately leading to rupture.

Used for chicken coccidiosis and growth promotion in beef cattle.
