Introduction

This product has a slightly better antibacterial spectrum and activity than sulfamethoxazole, and has strong antibacterial activity against various Gram positive bacteria, Gram negative bacteria, and mycoplasma.
Hemolytic Pasteurella, Bacillus multocida, and Actinobacterium pleurisy are highly sensitive to this product, and are sensitive to Streptococcus, methicillin-resistant Shigella dysentery, Salmonella typhi, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, and ampicillin resistant Haemophilus influenzae.
Bacteria can develop acquired resistance to flufenicol and exhibit cross resistance to methicillin. However, due to the inactivation effect of acetyltransferase, bacteria resistant to chloramphenicol and this product are still sensitive to it.
Mainly used for bacterial diseases in cattle, pigs, chickens, and canine animals, such as respiratory diseases caused by Pasteurella and Haemophilus bacteria, pneumonia, pleuropneumonia, etc. It can also be used to treat cow mastitis caused by various pathogens.
Strong bactericidal ability and wide antibacterial spectrum (negative bacteria, positive bacteria, erythroid, coccidia, mycoplasma, etc.) reduce the development of drug resistance. After oral administration, it quickly penetrates the intestinal wall and circulates through the body to reach the target tissue. The peak blood drug concentration is reached within 1-1.5 hours, with a half-life of up to 17 hours. After a single administration, the effective blood drug concentration can be maintained for 40-48 hours. The bioavailability is as high as 95-100%, and the drug concentration in lung tissue is 90% of the blood drug concentration. The drug concentration in the trachea and alveoli is higher than the blood drug concentration.
