Functions and Applications

Application of ferrous fumarate in pig feeding

Feed the diet containing ferrous fumarate within 2 weeks before and 3 weeks after delivery, so that piglets can obtain iron source through breast milk, and iron supplementation can achieve the same weight gain and preventive measures as intramuscular injection 3 days after delivery. Effects of anemia in piglets.

On the basis of adding FeSO4 in the diet, adding 300mg/kg to 600mg/kg of ferrous fumarate to the diet of piglets, and adding 250mg/kg of ferrous fumarate to the diet of growing pigs can improve growth performance, improve skin color and hair color. In other cases, its effect is better than that of simply adding FeSO4 or iron methionine.

Moreover, the addition of ferrous fumarate can significantly improve the skin color and hair condition of piglets, and the effect is enhanced with the increase of the additive amount.
