Applications

Antibiosis, anti-inflammatory, anti-virus, immunoregulation
1. Poultry --10mg/kg
The addition of Scutellaria baicalin in the feed of laying hens not only improved the egg production rate, but also significantly increased the concentration of total protein, protein, blood glucose, lipid, calcium, potassium, triiodothyronine and thyroxine in the serum of laying hens, increased the activity of alkaline phosphatase, decreased the activity of glutamic oxalacetic transaminase, glutamic alanine transaminase, lactate dehydrogenase, creatine phosphokinase and cortisol in the serum.
The addition of baicalin to the feed of egg chicks can significantly reduce morbidity, mortality and infection rate, increase feed intake, promote broiler growth and improve intestinal microflora.

2. Pigs --The addition amount is optimal at 15%.
The addition of Scutellaria baicalensis to pig feed increased feed intake as well as growth promotion, reduced the rate of diarrhea, and inhibited the differentiation of pig precursor adipocytes.

3. Ruminants
It was found that the addition of herbal additives containing Scutellaria baicalensis to the rations of dairy cows could effectively alleviate the adverse effects of heat stress on cows without affecting milk quality. In addition, baicalin has been widely used in the treatment of diarrhea, enteritis and mastitis in cattle, and has some auxiliary effects on embryo implantation in cows.
